NovoDynamics®, Inc. Launches Coronado™ 2.0 IDR Solution with Advanced Text Recognition and Large-Volume Document Training and Testing
Ann Arbor, MI — August 11, 2010 - NovoDynamics®, Inc, a recognized leader in providing advanced software capture technology, today announced the launch of Coronado 2.0, the latest release of the company’s breakthrough Intelligent Document Recognition (IDR) solution.
Featuring advanced text recognition capabilities, Coronado 2.0 allows customers to classify documents based on page content and visual attributes such as size, style or proximity to other information. Additionally, the latest release introduces the ability to use extremely large document sets to train and test classification models built with NovoDynamics’ Automated Classification Engine (ACE).
One of Coronado 2.0’s key features is the integration of NovoDynamics’ advanced optical character recognition (OCR) capabilities with its breakthrough Page Pixel Analytics (PPA) technology.
“Coronado 2.0 has the ability to use both the visual appearance of a document and its text content to classify it,” said David Rock, president and CEO of NovoDynamics. “These combined technologies give customers the best of both worlds: the ease of use, accuracy and speed of image-based analysis, and the use of extracted text to verify document classification,” Rock continued.
The new Coronado 2.0 release also allows customers to easily train NovoDynamics’ ACE on very large document sets. “Most IDR products require customers to manually pre-sort their documents prior to starting the training process. They also impose a limit on the number of document types that can be recognized because their recognition speed quickly degrades as more document types are added. Coronado 2.0 does not impose such limitations due to its built-in tools for document organization and classification model testing. By conveniently allowing customers to train and test using their very large volumes of unsorted pages, they are able to build more robust and cost-effective IDR solutions,” Rock said.
Coronado 2.0 continues to offer the benefits of prior releases: simple installation and document training; lightning fast document recognition times; high accuracy on document content that is scaled or shifted; the ability to easily add new documents to previously trained document sets; and a robust application programming interface (API).
Coronado 2.0 is now available directly through NovoDynamics or via its global network of Certified Solution Provider (CSP) program partners.
